“Sendan no Ita” Design

The project task was to create a branded shirt design for a martial arts club that blended imagery from several cultures.

Sendan no ita is a piece of samurai armor worn on the shoulder, typically individualized. Using this concept, imagery from Hawaiian and Asian cultures were blended with a modern flair to make a nice, flowing shirt graphic. The individual pictured is a modern hipster samurai.
